Project managing an aggressive product launch.
Company: Meta
75+ cross functional partners.
Problem
Apple announces they will no longer track data from iOS users in the Facebook Ads platform. This posed a large threat to the Ads product and the teams needed to work quickly to ensure advertisers could optimize their ad campaign performances. This was especially important as small businesses relied on this data to grow their businesses, especially during the pandemic when offline sales were plunging. There were many challenges ahead, including:
An aggressive, initial two week timeline to revamp the product end to end, spanning across an unknown number of product features and teams.
An external factor was in control of the timeline, and we were reactively adjusting to their unknown rules.
Internal sensitivity and walking the fine line of communicating out to alert and work with potential impacted product teams, while keeping plans closed for fear of any media leaks.
My Approach
Established working rhythms for +75 cross functional teammates.
Facilitated large meetings to ensure Design was shared and critiqued in an efficient manner.
Incorporated new ways to work together during early Pandemic and remote working.
Kept the work on pace with timeline management to achieve milestones.
Established Design Guild to move faster, end to end.
Elevated Design work to leadership.
Partnered closely with 4 Design managers & 2 Product Managers to ensure day to day operations were efficient.
Results
After many timeline adjustments, the teams were launch ready within four weeks. This work affected +300 cross functional partners. The new product rollout would:
Prep advertisers for the potential loss of data & why.
Get guidance + education to maintain ad performance.
New features like bulk edit existing ad campaigns.
Aligned on messaging across Sales partners.

A shifting timeline, originally scoped out to be design ready within 2 weeks.

Operating model for the continuously growing number of contributors to onboard quickly and efficiently.
